On this day back in 1929 we saw the assassination of Pasqualino Lolordo who was the head of the Chicago chapter of the Unione Siciliana. He was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen in his home. The hit was said to be arranged by Bugs Moran and Joe Aiello to help remove the protection around Al Capone. Just over a month later, Capone hit back with the St Valentines Day massacre.
