On this day in 2014 Jack Tocco, the mob boss of the Detroit Partnership passed away at the age of 87. He spent over 30 years running the family until he was convicted in 1998 on racketeering and conspiracy. Despite being handed three 20 year felonies he spent just over 2 years in prison before being released due to ill health.
He was also said to have been connected with the Jimmy Hoffa disappearance in 1975.
