On this day in 1913 James Riddle Hoffa was born in Brazil, Indiana. Jimmy Hoffa was a labor union leader throughout the 60’s and 70’s and was connected with organized crime up until his disappearance. He played a major part in growing and developing the union which went on to becoming the largest in the U.S.
He was 62 when he disappeared.
