On this day in 1957 George Clarence Moran passed away in prison at the age of 63, with $100 to his name. It could have been different for Bugs Moran though if he arrived on time on that fateful day in February 1929.
Moran lead the North Side Gang and is said to be the mobster who popularized drive-by-shootings.
He was also said to be behind the retaliation hit on Jack McGurn in 1936.
