On this day Michele Navarra was born in 1905, for those who haven’t heard of Navarra, he was a powerful member of the Sicilian Mafia. He was assassinated in a 1958 road-block ambush when sub-machine-gun bullets riddled the Fiat he was driving. It is said that Toto Riina was a suspected hitman. Navarra was 53 at the time of his death in 1958.
