On this day back in 1940, Paolo Borsellino was born. He was an anti-Mafia magistrate who battled to bring the Italian Mafia down with his friend Giovanni Falcone. He death was at the hands of the Sicilian Mafia in a car bomb that killed him and 5 policemen. The murders of Borsellino, Falcone and many others were sanctioned by Salvatore Riina.
